The Moray Small Business Club (MSBC) is for start-up small businesses and entrepreneurs thinking of starting a business in Moray, Scotland. Providing advice on the issues, processes and procedures applicable to running a successful business. The details of forthcoming events are still to be confirmed.

MSBC events will be held at Horizon Scotland, Forres at the following times unless stated otherwise:

16:45 to 17:30 - Networking
17:30 to 18:30 - Main Presentation
18:30 to 19:00 - More networking & buffet*
19:00 to 19:45 - Second Session

Join us, or depart, at any point to suit your schedule. There is no charge for MSBC events.

9th July 2009 - Expert Sales Duo!

At the event in May we learnt how to sell your goods and services to the public sector and this month we broaden this, and bring you experts from 2 local firms who have had success selling into the wider market. Geoff Wilcock from Open Brolly who has recently returned from the Cannes Film Festival and Derek Hancock from Gordon & MacPhail who specialises in appointing distributors and working with them.

Geoff Wilcock is a director of Open Brolly based here in Horizon Scotland. The company employs just 3 people so how did a small local company like yours hit the headlines recently with a triumphant sale to the Middle East? Geoff will tell you how they did it and what it means for the company.

Derek Hancock is with Gordon & MacPhail and specialises in appointing and working with distributors. He is a perfect follow up to Geoff, win the business and make sure the support is in place to service the new customers. Derek will tell you how to do it successfully.
