Scottish Government Broadband Reach Project. Nov 2007 – Feb 2008

The Scottish Government initiated a project to deal with the issue of Scottish householders who are unable to receive Broadband.

Key Commercial Services, working in collaboration with Alaistar Nicolson Projects, Isle of Skye, was contracted via HIE to verify information held by the Scottish Government on people throughout Scotland who had identified themselves as being unable to receive Broadband, in addition gathering supplemental information on each individual case. 

KCS also undertook the management of a considerable volume of data prior to, during and following verification work.  Verification was accomplished mainly through telephone interviews with the householder, followed by email messages.

 

HIFRS – 2006/07

In 2006 the Highland and Islands Fire & Rescue Service commenced a move to an on-line information and communication portal for all their retained staff.  This led to the decision to deliver on-site IT training to all their staff.

Key Commercial Services coordinated and delivered IT training to staff at 91 fire stations in the Highlands and Islands area.

 

Highland Real Nappy Project – Sep 2006

Highland Real Nappy Project promotes the use of washable nappies across the Highland Council area, providing information and support to parents and healthcare professionals.

Key Commercial Services conducted street surveys on behalf of the Highland Real Nappy Project in seven locations throughout the Highlands, to help them gain an insight into Washable Nappy Use.

 

HIE Caithness & Sutherland - 2005/06, 2006/07, 2007/08  

Key Commercial Services have successfully supplied administrative support over a 3 year period for HIE Caithness & Sutherland’s ‘Leadership and Management’ series of business development courses.

This involved preparation of data and bulk mailing programmes and invitations. Organising and monitoring newspaper advertising. Conducting telemarketing. Receiving delegate bookings via email and free-phone.  Invoicing and receiving payment for course fees.  Liaising with and preparing information for tutors. Collating delegate evaluations and preparing final analysis reports.

 

HIIT Conference 2003

The Highlands & Islands IT Conference was promoted by Highlands & Islands Enterprise and was the biggest IT event to be held in the region. 

Key Commercial Services played a major part in its success, through mailing out information, handling initial enquiries and bookings, organising the venue (Newton Hotel, Nairn) and arranging a pre-conference dinner for 180 delegates. 

More importantly, and impacting directly on the conference’s acclaimed success, Key Commercial services was responsible for project managing the entire event. This involved liaising with supply partners for the provision of the graphic design, advertising and media buying, stage design / construction, IT infrastructure / Internet café, sponsors (including Hewlett Packard) and keynote speakers (including Frank Dick).


Speak Up For Broadband 

This was a highly successful marketing campaign implemented on behalf of Highlands & Islands Enterprise throughout 2003. Key Commercial Services was responsible for creating the main database and processing over 8,000 registrant call centre outputs, which were then lodged with BT. 

Key Commercial Services was also required to ‘clean’ data, prior to publication on the HIE website and the distribution of over 6,000 direct mail and e-mail messages, on behalf of the HIE chairman.
